Painting with leaves

so after a couple of days pressing leaves, flowers, moss, bark... foliage. i took a couple samples and painted with them. printing with the leaves and onto canvas (below right) with thick acrylic paint

nice and fun, messy, creating some different patterns and even fingerpainting backgrounds. 

Is that Bambi?

Using some oil pastels do depict a scene from bambi, the forest on fire, bambi on a rock in the pond. 

Duration : 40 minutes 

Extra owl drawings

Fine line drawing

In preperation for my storyboard project for my drawing for animation course, a character  design for two owls, getting the shape and faces right. 

Duration : 1 hour 15 minutes 

Printing with flowers

Pressed a flower, used some acrylic paint and printed with the flower on paper and also on a cut up can. 

Took all of 20 minutes, had some fun and made some mess, a good way to enjoy art and nature as one

Trying out a new style called zentangle, hoping to use it as a cut out stop motion style eventually or incorporate it into my 2D work

using a rig to make a line movement. walking can be so difficult, getting each step similar but not exactly the same, trying to keep the same motion

Modeling a House

trying some modeling, making a house. fun and frustrating at the same time...

taking some time to go back and try again, now that i have a little more knowledge of the software

jumping squirrel

Started with a loop of the squirrel jumping and copying the frames over as a kind of cycle.

time taken: 60 minutes (plus 20 for the trees)

funny stop motion

 So my friend and i got very confused, and needed some practice before properly recording a walk cycle for our stop-motion assignment. Obviously we were going to record our practicing for nostalgia, but when we took turns changing the poses, i did not expect it  to turn out so wrong and yet funny. Had to keep it and post it as 'extra work'.
